After Apple, HTC ditches headphone jack.
HTC today launched the new HTC Bolt in the US with Sprint as the carrier partner, but the company will launch something 'very similar' in the UK soon.
After the launch of iPhone 7 without the 3.5mm headphone jack, HTC is following the suit with its latest Bolt smartphone. The latest smartphone is an HTC 10 clone without the 3.5mm audio jack, a first for HTC.
HTC Bolt boasts of
HTC’s own skin, HTC Sense which is one of the best and the most well developed
UIs in the market. HTC Bolt comes with a 5.5 inch QuadHD Super LCD3
display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a density of 534 ppi.
The phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 Curved Edge display technology. Under
the hood of HTC Bolt runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, octa-core, up to
2.0 Ghz which is what gives the device its speed.
The phone comes in
just one internal memory variant, 32GB and the phone comes with 3GB RAM. HTC
Bolt does support expansion up to 2TB. The phone is a single SIM device and
comes with Nano SIM. HTC Bolt comes with a 16 MP rear end camera with a dual
tone LED flash and Optical Image Stabilisation coupled with Phase Detection
Auto Focus. There are a whole lot of other features that the phone comes with
too. Coming to the front camera, HTC Bolt comes with a 8MP front camera with a
live make-up, selfie timer and a auto selfie mode. HTC Bolt comes with 3200 mAh
battery. The phone as mentioned above, is water and dust resistant
HTC Bolt is
the latest phone to be introduced by HTC following the launch of Google's Pixel and Pixel XL phones. The company recently
released the Desire 10 Lifestyle in the UK and is also advertising
an HTC One A9S, but the Bolt has failed to make an appearance in
the country so far.
