Lava promises 1-year replacement of screens for smartphones.

Aimed at giving peace of mind to the consumers, Lava has come up with a unique offer this festive season. In a recent announcement, Lava promises it's buyers to replace mobile phone screen anytime within a year, if the purchase is made between two months starting September 15.

People spend a consid-erable amount to buy mobile phones and are always concerned about high screen replacement costs in case of accidental damage. This offer will give the consumers some peace of mind.

Screen-replacement offer is valid for a duration of 365 days. The offer is available for Lava mobiles purchased between September 15 and November 15. The offer is applicable to smartphones as well as feature phones.

It should be noted that the customers will still be required to pay labour charges worth Rs. 150 for feature phones and Rs. 250 for smartphones. In order to avail this offer, customers will have to contact company's service centre along with identity proof and proof of purchase for the mobile phone, and a valid contact number, the company said in its release.

Paytm launch services without internet.

Digital payments platform Paytm today announced a toll-free number to enable consumers and merchants without an internet connection to pay and receive money instantly and also recharge their mobile phones. Customers and merchants will need to register with Paytm their mobile number and set a four digit paytm PIN, the company said in a statement here. "They (users) can then enter the recipient's mobile number, amount and their Paytm PIN to successfully transfer the money from their Paytm wallet to another Paytm wallet," it said. "We are committed to enabling more and more Indians to transact digitally. The launch of our new toll free payment number (180018001234), is another significant step in that direction.
